The Philly

"Phil Denton Community Outreach Award

The "Philly" is an annual award to recognize someone in our Community that has devoted their life reaching out into the LGBTQ Community.  The recipient of the award must not only support the LGBTQ community, but continue to actively participate in it as well.  The recipient must reside in the state of Indiana, and support the local community through fundraising support, creativity, leadership or other accolades that benefit our local LGBT family.

Examples of causes impacted by a Philly nominee include:

- Indiana Pride

- HIV/AIDS community

-Breast Cancer Awareness

-PFLAG

-HRC

-Local and State Politicans

-IYG

    Nomination forms can be downloaded by clicking the link below. The form must be submitted before the annual deadline of April,1 2012.  Please send your Nomination to: TGIF, Inc., P.O. Box 2532, Indianapolis, IN 46206-2532.  Those individuals who have been nominated will be reviewed by the TGIF Nominating Committee and the past Philly recipient.  The TGIF nominating committee will present the TGIF committee with their recommedation for who they feel best meets the above criteria, taking into consideration every aspect into those individuals being nominated.  The TGIF committee will vote on this individual, and if a majority accepts the nomination, the award will be finalized.  The award winner will be anounced at the TGIF Banquet on Sunday July, 8 2012.
